The Skin Prep Guide: How to Get Glam-Ready Skin
Great makeup starts with happy skin. The two weeks before your appointment matter more than any primer, so I put everything I tell my clients in one place: what to do, what to pause and what to skip, so your glam goes on smooth and lasts all day.

The short version
- 2 weeks before: book any Botox, fillers, peels, laser or microneedling by now, and stop trying new products.
- 1 week before: last facial (especially with extractions) and lash lift or tint.
- 5 days before: pause retinol and retinoids (ask your dermatologist first if it's a prescription).
- 3 days before: brows, face waxing and self-tanner done; pause AHA/BHA acids and peel pads.
- The night before: gentle cleanse, your favorite moisturizer, lip balm, water and sleep. Go easy on salt and alcohol.
- The morning of: a clean, moisturized face with no makeup or heavy SPF. Wear a button-up top and have your hair done or clipped back.
